The centre has participated in clinical trials with a TRH analogue, first multicentre European Study on branched chain aminoacids, riluzole and myotrophin. (IgF1). The centre uses a variety of methods in the management of patients, including the Charing Cross qualitative and and quantitative assessment scales.

We have recruited 36 patients into the trial of SR57746A (Protocol EFC 1923: Riluzole + SR57746A versus Riluzole + placebo). We will start a trial of intrathecal human recombinant BDNF (Amgen) towards the end of 1998.
