Nurse Clinic Coordinator, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Speech/Swallow Specialist, and Registered Dietician who typically all see patients on a routine visit. The patients are in a clinic room while health care providers rotate through. A typical visit lasts about an hour at the time the patient is scheduled. The clinic meets weekly.

The ALS Clinic at Medical College of Wisconsin is recognized by the ALS Association as a certified center dedicated to the care and management of ALS patients and is in process of certification by the ALSA. Dr. Barkhaus also runs a parallel multidisciplinary ALS Clinic at the Milwaukee Veterans Administration Medical Center.
