| ALS Nursing...For the Americas 2006 2-6 Aug 2006 Chicago, Illinois Information: This conference is designed for new and experienced nurses and clinic coordinators working with people with ALS. Objectives are to provide a forum for nurses and clinic coordinators to explore new trends, share current practices and review resources; introduce nurses and clinic coordinators new to the field to symptom management of PALS; create opportunities for international, multi-center collaboration with research; and build a network of ALS nurses and clinic coordinators to advance the field of ALS nursing and provide for its future. This year's conference will begin on August 2, 2006 with an overview of ALS Basics for new learners or to refresh experienced professionals. From Thursday, August 3, 2006 through Saturday, August 5, 2006 some of the leading nurse coordinators in the field will present cutting edge information about respiratory issues, research, symptom management, end of life issues and practical applications.
