Dr Lenon T Gwaunza
Dr Lenon Gwaunza is a neurologist from Zimbabwe. He graduated from the University of Zimbabwe with a BSc (Hon) Intercalated degree in Human Physiology and MBChB.
As a Beit Scholar, he read for an MSc in Clinical Neurosciences at Queens Square, University College London (UCL). Following that, he completed his Neurology residency at Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town (South Africa) where he was one of the best candidates being a recipient of the Sigo Nielsen and Novartis medals for outstanding results in Part 1 and 2 CMSA Neurology Fellowship exams respectively.
He holds an MMed Neurology (cum laude) degree from Stellenbosch University. He is currently working in the private sector in Zimbabwe, does part time work at Parirenyatwa Hospital (Harare) and visiting clinics once a month at Mpilo Central Hospital (Bulawayo). He has special interest in Stroke medicine and movement disorders. He is a recipient of a 2023 WFN grant as a visiting stroke fellow at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town.
