Saara Neshuku-Nampala

Dr Saara Neshuku-Nampala is a consultant Neurologist in Windhoek, Namibia. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Pretoria in 2010. She went on to do her neurology training at the University of Cape Town-Groote Schuur Hospital, acquiring a Fellowship from the College of Neurologists of South Africa in May 2019 and a Master of Medicine from the University of Cape Town in December 2019.

She is a Consultant Neurologist for the Ministry of Health and Social Services at Windhoek Hospital Complexes and Namibia Brain Institute. She manages patients with a wide range of neurological disorders and clinical supervision of medical officers and interns. She manages the neurophysiology laboratory where Electroencephalogram (EEG), Nerve conduction study & Electromyogram (NCS/EMG) and repetitive nerve stimulation (RNS) procedures are conducted. She also works as a part-time lecturer for undergraduate medical students at the School of Medicine, University of Namibia. 

She is particularly interested in neuromuscular disorders, stroke care, epilepsy, neuroimmunology, clinical neurophysiology and medical education.

She has published her first paper in February 2023:
